Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies the results. Williamson County People Search does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you place in the message and use them to answer your inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create routine server logs that may contain an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review combined usage information to maintain the service and learn which Williamson County resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above helps us run the site, diagnose errors, assess traffic, and improve the reference pages. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to the Williamson County Register of Deeds, Circuit Court Clerk, Property Assessor, Election Commission, Tennessee agencies, library collections, or outside search tools. Information sent to a linked service falls under that service's own privacy rules. The same distinction applies to sponsored results, which an outside company provides.
When Information Is Shared
Vendors that host or support the site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising services may receive the automatic data noted in this policy. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share visitor data.
Safeguarding Visitor Data
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for the uses stated above. Because the service has no visitor accounts, it stores no user password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Please contact us if a minor has submitted personal information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct, or delete data held by a website can depend on where a visitor lives and which law applies. Our own holdings are limited, so we can check the contact mailbox and available server logs for information tied to a request. Submit a request through the Contact page. Government records are different: Williamson County and Tennessee offices control their own files under the Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. ยงยง10-7-501 et seq., together with record-specific exceptions. A commercial display opt-out does not delete a deed, assessment, court filing, or voter record at its official source. Tennessee Safe at Home supplies qualifying participants a substitute government address and protects covered voter materials; it is not a general deletion process and does not erase older public records.

A revised policy will be posted here when these practices change. Using the service after a revision takes effect signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
